Our Own Private Dog Park!

Is our new backyard! We are loving it! Here we are on our new deck. Maddy enjoys sitting on the built in bench. Oh, and the tree behind us is an apple tree (Mommy and Daddy aren't sure if we are keeping it yet seeing as how we keep eating all the rotten apples on the ground). We get to go out there and chase each other, sniff everything and play with the frisbee...check us out!

Here is the fence that Mommy and Daddy had installed for Maddy and I! Thanks Mommy and Daddy :)

And this is our doggie neighbor behind us
Her name is Medow and she is a very calm dog. Maddy enjoys barking at her of course! We also have another doggie neighbor named Marley-he is a boxer, but we don't have a picture of him yet. We all enjoy barking at each other :) BOL
So far, we are loving our backyard-it's like being at the dog park everyday!

Our News...

Is that we have moved! That's right, Mommy and Daddy sold our town house and have bought us a new house with our very own yard! This explains why we have been missing from blog world for so long, but Mommy and Daddy are almost done with the unpacking and getting the house all settled so we should be around more now :) We got to say goodbye to our old house once it was all empty-we got one last playtime

Boxes everywhere!

We are sorry we have been missing from the blog world. Mommy and Daddy have been ignoring us ever since Santa Paws came. We had a great Christmas, but then right after Christmas Mommy and Daddy started putting everything in boxes!

They keep telling us its a big surprise and we are going to love it. However, right now we aren't loving the lack of attention to us and the fact they giving us any computer time so we can check on all our furiends.

And just when I thought it couldn't get any worse Mommy put almost all of my stuffies into a big box.

And then when they finally did pay us any attention they put both Owen and I in a box! How Rude!

We hope everyone had a great Christmas and a happy New Year. Mommy and Daddy promise that they are almost done with their boxing things up and will give us the attention we deserve very soon and show us the big surprise. We will be sure to share the news with you as soon as we get it...

Christmas Tree and Christmas Cards!

Yesterday we got our Christmas tree...Mommy and Daddy were busy putting on all the lights and all the ornaments and Maddy and I were busy doing this...

that got us good and tired so we did this...

Birthday Girl!

Today is Maddy's 3rd birthday! She is an old lady (just don't tell her that). Anyway, we are going to have a big bash for her later today when Mommy and Daddy come home from work. Until then she is stuck with me to celebrate. Maybe I'll give her the "good" spot on the couch while we wait. Everyone wish her a happy birthday! One of us will be sure to post later about the big celebration.

Lake or Pool?

If you said pool, you are right! This is the same pool that you see here...
except now it's full of leaves at the bottom because it's closed for the season! We met our cousins, Grayce and Danger, there this morning for some play time and I had a blast swimming after the frisbee and ball.
I was so happy mommy was letting me stay in water that looked like this...until we got home and I got taken straight upstairs to the bathrooom...you can guess what happened next!
"but I don't want a bath!"

Doggie Vacation 2011!

Thursday night Mommy and Daddy were walking all around the house packing all sorts of things...first we thought that they were going on another trip with out us (which made us sad) until we noticed that they were packing our bag too (that made us curious)! And Friday evening when Daddy got home from work he packed up the car, Mommy got us hooked into our car harnesses and they said we were off to a doggie Vacation for the weekend! Hooray! Last years doggie vacation we went with our dog cousins and our extended family, but this year it was just us with Mommy and Daddy, and even though we missed the rest of our family, we had an awesome time! Turkey Season!

So, with the month of November comes Turkey! We LOVE to eat turkey on Turkey Day, but we also LOVE playing with turkey before the big day :) Last year, Mommy and Daddy got us these turkeys to play with....

This year we got a Smoked Turkey Sandwich! Check it out!

that I kept begging Daddy to play with me...

and even when it was time to go to bed, I couldn't put it away! (notice Owen in the background trying to sleep?!?)

It's October!

and that means that the Halloween decorations come out. And with the Halloween decorations come our Halloween toys too :) Owen and I were so excited to see our spider, bat, pumpkin and witch!

but maybe too excited as this is what happened to the bat after 20 minutes of being out-ooops!

Daddy brought out the mean Halloween hand and was trying to scare me with it-Luckily Owen isn't afraid of it and was able to get my toy out!

We also helped Mommy and Daddy put up our outdoor decorations!

Our First Mango!

Maddy and I love fruit! With strawberries being our favorite, but we don't discriminate-any fruit will do! It occured to Mommy that we hadn't tried a mango before...so she decided to share hers with us-and let me tell you it was DELICIOUS! Check us out eating our first mango!

Dog Days of September!

Last weekend Owen and I got to go to an annual event called "Dog Days of September". It's held at an outdoor camp that has a huge fenced in swimming pool and since summer is over they open it up for Doggies like us to come and play in. The water in the pool is lowered so that the doggies can just walk right in like at a lake! Owen and I went bright and early in the morning for the small dog session and then stayed for when the big dogs came too-we had a blast, check it out!

and of course-trying to charm treats out of anybody who had them-which was everyone! And NO that is not me trying to get treats, that was another rounder puggle named Bernie.

I was rarely out of the pool...

Daddy even got Owen to enjoy the water-we were all so shocked and super excited!

and of course Mommy bought us tons of goodies from the vendors!

We had an awesome time and can't wait for next years event!

A new season!

This year Mommy and Daddy decided to let Owen and I join their suicide league (in which we have to pick one team to win each week and if they lose we are out, if they win we move on) and Owen had the honor of making the first week's pick. Which team did he pick you ask? Well find check out the video and find out...

and did they win? Sadly no :( I knew that I should have been the one picking!

Frisbee playing Puggle

Maddy loves to play with her frisbee. Daddy throws the frisbee as far as he can and she chases it down and jumps and grabs it. It's one of the most amazing things I have ever seen. What do you guys think?

Owen's Gotcha Day Eve!

It's the eve of Owen's 1st Gotcha Day! Mommy, Daddy and I don't know how we lived without him. I must have been so lonely and didn't even know it b/c I can't imagine being without my brother! Mommy and Daddy said we are beginning our celebrations today and will carry them over to tomorrow. And even though it's Owen's special celebration-I know it all really must be for me-take a look!

Here are all the presents Mommy and Daddy got me in celebration of Owen's Gotcha Day.

Mommy also baked me a cake for Owen's Gotcha Day. Doesn't it look delicious!

Look at Owen sitting nicely and not eating the cake. He sure has changed, I remember when he first came and would just eat everything he could without being told he could.

Mmm it was good!

Then Mommy and Daddy hid the toys they got me for Owen's Gotcha Day in the toy box b/c they didn't want him to get upset over all the toys they got me.

I figured since it's his celebration, I'll let him have my bone-for now!

Hurricane Ready!

There's a hurricane a-coming! That's what Mommy and Daddy have told us and we are ready for it! Here are the supplies that we got-tons of snacks, candles, flashlights, water and canned stuff!

We will be spending the night in the basement with blankets and pillows to get snuggly in (with swoop too of course)!

Mommy and Daddy have a ton of games to play-here's just a small portion of the ones they have!

Mommy and Daddy also have a fridge full of fun! We don't understand why we can't share that with them though...???!

Now we are just waiting for this "Irene" that's supposed to be coming-Good luck to all of our furiends that are going to be in this hurricane too!

A Cuddler!

As Owen's "Gotcha Day" is approaching we can't help but think of the many ways he's changed since he came into our family. When he first came to us he never sat with us when we were having "family time" watching TV, he didn't know how to cuddle up next to us and whenever he was picked up he would just put his legs straight out. Now Owen is the first one on the couch for "family time" and always makes his way to Mommy and when he's picked up he curls up into a little ball. And now he is an all-star cuddler too! Check it out:

Attack of the Vacuum Cleaner

Mommy and Daddy are very lucky to have Owen and I to protect them. A couple times a week the vacuum cleaner comes out and it tries to get them. However, we would never let anyone or anything hurt our Mommy and Daddy so we must protect them. First Owen and I bark at it loudly to warn it, that if it doesn't stop we will attack. It typically doesn't stop, so I attack, usually trying to take it down. Owen typically helps with the attack and then looks to round up Mommy and Daddy to take them away from the danger while I finish off the vacuum cleaner. Oh, and did I mention that they have 2 DIFFERENT vacuum cleaners we have to protect them from?!? Geez-it sure gets exhausting being a protector around here! Check it out:

An Award!

We want to thank Minnie and Mack for this awesome award! We know you passed it on to us days ago, but Mommy is just getting to it now (she keeps saying something about being busy and that she's sorry)...Anyways, we are so honored that you thought of us! So here it is:

1. Mommy and Daddy are high school sweethearts
2. Daddy loves to be active and loves sports and plays in a hockey league year round

5. Mommy likes to bake and is always looking for new recipes to try

The Hospital

Occasionally, Owen and I tug our toys like this:

and then they may lose a limb-or 2.

They are then immediately checked into the hospital where they wait for surgery.

The hospital is on top of the refrigerator and the surgeon is Mommy. As you can see, the hospital is quite full with patients right now-I guess the surgeon has been busy...

I like to check on all the patients to make sure they are ok.

I get worried for them because they have been in the hospital for so long.

I really hope they make a successful recovery soon so Owen and I can play with them again.

***At the time of this post the surgeon has assured me that surgery will begin today!***

We are 1 Year Old!

That is we are 1 to the blogging community. Today is our 1 year anniversary of blogging! First we started with just my adventures (click on link for our first post)

Then Owen came into our family and it became about both our adventures (our 1st Owen post).

I was a little afraid of Owen at first because of his silly cone, but eventually he got it off and we have become best friends. I can't imagine not having my brother to play with and cuddle with, just don't tell him that.

We love reading about all our furfriends adventures and look forward to another year of blogging about our adventures!

Flying Puggle

I can not believe my crazy sister. It's bad enough she walks right into what the humans call the "pool", but today she decides she is going to see how far she can jump into it. I think she thought maybe she could jump/fly across it because I can't understand why she would want to jump into it. Maybe she thought she could use her big ears as wings? Not sure, but here are some pictures of one of her attempts w/some commentary of what I suspect she was thinking:

Fourth of July FUN!

This fourth of July we celebrated by having a BBQ at Abuela's house with the family! Our furiend Delaney came too and we enjoyed wrestling with each other in the yard.

Our Mommy and Daddy got us our very own raft for the pool-just like the one our furiends Oliver and Jack have! Here we are trying it out:

Lake Adventure!

Since Mommy and Daddy were off from work we got to go to the lake today! Our furiend Delaney and cousins Grayce and Danger went too! It was Owen's first time in the trails and even though Mommy was very nervous about letting him go off leash Daddy convinced her to give him a chance...
We had a great time exploring everything on the trails together

And he was doing a GREAT job of following and staying with the group :)
UNTIL...he caught a scent and took off through the woods! Luckily, Daddy as able to find him (much to Mommy's relief) and then it was the "leash of shame" for the rest of the walk but overall we had a great time walking and swimming and being outside! Check it out!

Maddy and I have 4 cousins. We love our cousins, but don't get to see them often because they live in the Poconos...but this weekend they came to visit and we had a sleepover with the 2 oldest ones! It was a night full of eating, laughing, going on walks, watching movies and of course-cuddling :)

We had a great time! We will miss them and can't wait till they come back to play with us!

They're Home!

Mommy and Daddy got home last weekend, but Mommy has been sick and Daddy has been busy so we haven't been able to blog till now. Mommy and Daddy went to Europe and while they were in London they stopped by the fancy store of Harrod's. This store is huge and has an entire area called "Pet Kingdom"

and they sell very fancy doggie beds

and it has an entire bakery for pets! Mommy and Daddy bought us Easter eggs from the bakery.

(Oh, and they also enjoyed seeing the newlywed Duke and Duchess of Cambridge!)

Bed Time

Owen and I love our beds. They are so nice and cozy and they are right next to Mommy and Daddy's big bed. Occasionally we try to sneak on the big bed w/Mommy and Daddy, but we are always told to go back to our beds when its bed time. However, Mommy said we can all sleep on the bed tonight. Owen and I were very excited, but then we saw the suitcases!! Then we knew Mommy felt bad for ditching us and was trying to bribe us with the big bed. So while we are excited about the extra cuddle time and about getting to go to Grandma and Grandpa's we are going to miss them very much. At least we have each other...

Owen and I haven't figured out how to use the computer at Grandma & Grandpa's so we won't be able to read about everyones adventures for a little while. Mommy says they are going to the Royal Wedding and then will be back the next day and promise to let us on the computer as soon as they get back. We hope the Easter bunny is good to everyone!

Our First Package!

We got our very first package in the mail today! Daddy said that we had mail and we were so confused...Mail? What's mail? Then Daddy gave us this package and we sniffed it and it didn't smell like anything special. Then Mommy made us sit next to it and take these pictures.

Finally, Daddy opened it a little and then we finished the job.

Now we are to tell you 7 things about us. Here we go!

1. Owen is a total Mommy's boy and Maddy is a total Daddy's girl
2. When we want to play we look for Daddy. When we want to nap it needs to be next to Mommy. We will climb over whoever and whatever just to get close to her and sleep!
3. We don't have a backyard so we play inside the house like we are outside. Mommy will have to video us one day so you can see how crazy we are!
4. Grandma and Grandpa come over everyday when Mommy and Daddy go to work to keep us company and walk us around the neighborhood. We are never alone for more than three hours-we are VERY spoiled and like it that way :)
5. Maddy is a serial squeaker when she gets a new toy. She will squeak a toy all day and all night until the squeaker breaks! Even then she might still try to squeak it-BOL
6. Owen LOVES to be pet. He will sit right next to you and hit you with his paw if you don't start to pet him or stop petting him for any reason.
7. Mommy and Daddy have the following nicknames for us: Maddygirl and Owenboy, Mr. Owen and Ms. Maddy, and The baby girl and The O-man.

Caretakers

Daddy had been gone all week on a business trip to Massachusetts. Maddy and I missed him very much and were worried when Mommy said Daddy might not make it home due to weather canceling his original flight home, but then it all worked out and Daddy was able to come home :) We were so excited to have him home and were ready to play all night...but then Mommy informed us that Daddy was sick with a bad cold and that he needed to rest! We have decided to be Daddy's caretakers to help him get well soon (and so he can play with us too!) and the best way we know how to take care of him is to rest with him....

Grandparents House

Mommy and Daddy left us for a weekend in Vegas, and didn't give us any computer time to post about our Maddy Day festivities. I was able to quickly get on the computer to post this quick message before they whisked us away to the grandparents house. We are excited about spending time with them, but are going to miss Mommy and Daddy. We can't wait until they come back on Tuesday! Have a great weekend furiends!

Mommy and Daddy told me today is Maddy Day! They said two years ago today they got Maddy! I'm told she was quite the cute little puppy. Hard to believe huh? Evidently they rescued her from a bad home situation in which the other dog she lived with would always pick on her. That doggy is lucky I wasn't there because no one picks on my Maddy!

Here is a picture of Maddy with Mommy right after they rescued her. It was love at first sight.

Here she is in her first bed during her first week home. If you are wondering why she looks lonely its because she hasn't met me yet.

Maddy, always the little helper, is trying to help daddy put together what would later become our toy box.

Super Bowl Treats!

Since last night was the Super Bowl and all the adults were having a TON of food and snacks Mommy decided that we should have our own snacks too-so out came the FROSTY PAWS!

We never had them before and we were SO very excited to see them being put into our bowls :)

But as ALWAYS-we had to wait for them

and then we got to eat-YUMMY!

And Abuela sewed so many of our stuffed animals that had been out of commission for so long!

It was such a fun and yummy night :)

This morning we woke up to about 12 inches of fresh snow on the ground! That meant that Mommy and Daddy had a snow day and stayed home with us :) Check out the pics of our snow day activities and treats!

We observed Mommy closely as she cooked lunch-hoping for some more treats!

And we were rewarded with some new alligator shaped treats

We looked out the window longing to go play in the snow...

and then we FINALLY did :)

We bounded through the snow and fetched snowballs

When Mommy said it was time to go in, we tried to hide in the snow (sadly it did not work)

and at last we snuggled :)

Aunt Jamie gave us a feast for Christmas, it included turkey, corn, a baked potato, a roll, brussel sprouts all served on a Frisbee platter! We have been waiting patiently until Mommy and Daddy gave us our feast. The day finally came yesterday, check out these pictures from the FEAST!

Even after all the waiting, they made us wait a little longer!

Here is Maddy with the corn and me with the baked potato. I must say I was a little disappointed after all this talk of a feast to find out I couldn't actually eat the food. So I had to settle for chewing the tags. Maddy on the other hand, squeaked the toys all day and night long. She finally fell asleep at almost 11pm (way past my bedtime!) with the roll-and of course went right for it in the morning.

It's too cold to go out and play right now...So Daddy is doing his best to tire us out on this Saturday morning. He stays in the kitchen and then closes the gates and runs from one to the other...we of course run around trying to get him...and then we get a treat :) Take a look!

We got our first big snow of the season here in Jersey this week! I was a little uncertain about all this white stuff at first, but it's growing on me. Mommy and Daddy took us out to play in it a few times already so check us out in the snow!

Maddy thinks that she is the greatest hurdler in the world. She is hoping to compete in the London Summer Olympics in 2012. Little does she know they don't let Puggles compete... Anyway, I don't want to spoil her dream, so I have volunteered to be her practice. In order to help her out, I bite Daddy's leg and stand up nice and tall and pull so that together we make a great hurdle. Then she practices her hurdling by jumping over me. I don't mind, as she very rarely lands on me...

Christmas Tree Day!

Our Thanksgiving Weekend!

Happy Thanksgiving Everybody! Sorry we are so late, but we were really busy! On Wednesday Mommy and Daddy got us our own Turkey (the kind to play with not eat-BOL). Owen and I loved them-but as always-we had to wait to get them! Then on Turkey day we went over to Abuela's house (Mommy's mom) and our other grandparents came too and so did Aunt Jamie and Uncle Matt. We had so much fun running and playing there...and of course we got to eat some Turkey too :) It was so yummy! Saturday we went to play with Milo-Aunt Jamie's foster puppy at the dog park and there were 2 other Puggles there! Here are a shot of the tails and this is me next to a very TALL Puggle named Jake Then we said goodbye to Milo and wished him luck in his new forever home since his new family was picking him up the next day. Later Mommy and Daddy started decorating for Christmas-Here is Owen checking some of the stuff out for the first time And here is us Sunday night-soooo tired from all the playing and food from this weekend!

So as we told you before-this past weekend we went on our first "doggie vacation"! We didn't go far, but we had a blast! It was at the beach in Dewey, Delaware. It was my first trip to the beach and Maddy's third time. The house we rented was awesome- right next to the beach, 5 bedrooms, balconies, roof deck, TONS of room for all of us and a nice backyard that Maddy and I thoroughly enjoyed :) The whole weekend was playing on the beach, running in the backyard and cuddling with everyone (the people also played games and ate a lot-hehe). Doggie Vacation!

When Mommy got home from work today she got out our overnight bag and started packing all of our stuff...So of course Owen and I were watching her intently wondering where we were going. Mommy explained that we are going on a little weekend trip...and by "we" she means the family! We are going with the grandparents, aunt Jamie and Uncle Matt, Mommy and Daddy AND cousins Grayce and Danger too! Mommy is calling it a "Doggie Vacation". Tomorrow morning Grandma and Grandpa are picking us up and everyone else is meeting us after work. We can't wait to spend an entire weekend with our cousins! So, we are all packed and ready for our fun weekend...Is it morning yet!?!

Baths and Naps

Today, after we got back from our routine Saturday dog park trip, Mommy informed us that it was time for out monthly bath. I went first (mostly because Maddy ran out of the bathroom at the last second) and I was such a good boy. Here are our pictures after we were all nice and clean drying off!

Happy Halloween Everybody! Mommy and Daddy dressed us up and took us to the PetSmart Halloween parade and costume contest. It was so fun to see all the doggies dressed up and get lots of attention. I was a bumble bee first...but I was so upset with this costume that I would not look at the camera no matter what! So I got switched to being a witch (that hat wasn't much better than the bumble bee costume)
Owen was a hot dog and everybody LOVED it! Mommy said he got robbed for not winning the costume contest seeing as how everybody was loving it!
Then today we went to Abuela's and went trick-or-treating with our human cousins (in costumes of course!) It was awesome but tiring! Hope everybody had a great Halloween!
***PS: We are still having technical difficulties over here with our computer :( So that is why we have been MIA for what seems like FOREVER! Mommy and Daddy are trying really hard to fix the issues so that we can get back to our furiends. For now, Daddy is letting Mommy use his work laptop. (unfortunately, it's not always available for Mommy as Daddy needs to do a lot of work on it)

Big News!

I have some really big news to share with you guys! After some consideration and lots of talking, Mommy, Daddy and I have decided to adopt Owen and make our home his furever home! We all fell in love with him and couldn't bear to part with his sweet face. So, I now officially have a brother :) The paper work is all completed and now it is official-he is now officially part of the family. He even got his name on my toy box! So, welcome to the family Owen - but leave MY toys alone ;)

Technical Difficulties

Mommy and Daddy are going away for a long weekend to celebrate their anniversary, so Owen and I are getting to spend some time at the grandparent's house until they come back Tuesday night. We are sad they are leaving, but we know that we are going to have a blast at the grandparent's house-we might even get to see our cousins Grayce and Danger!

Mommy and Daddy heard about this cool doggy park in Timber Creek Park that is 9 fenced in acres and decided to take us there this morning. Mommy and Daddy knew this was going to be a big test for my Foster brother, Owen, because he was going to be off leash for the first time in a big area. Well, I'm happy to report that Owen loved the park and made friends with other doggies...but sad to say that he had to be put on leash because he kept running off and getting lost on us! Now, Mommy and Daddy were glad that the entire area was fenced in, but still-9 acres is a lot of area to cover when we couldn't find Owen!

And as always...we were exhausted on the way home!

Football Sundays are the best! We get to cheer on our Eagles and the grandparents come over for the games and stay for a yummy dinner :) Our football Sundays usually start like this-
First up, the dog park to get us good and tired. Here, Owen and I ran around and played with a frisbee first thing in the morning.

Then we come home and get our Eagles gear on and get ready to cheer on our team! We even play some football of our own during the game.

Then we "cheer" our team on with Daddy.

Finally, we "celebrate" the big win!

And Owen too! My new bed came in the mail this week and we were all excited to see it. Mommy and Daddy decided that I needed a bed in the office too so that I wouldn't have to lay on the floor...so after lots of searching they decided on a bed from Ceasar's, the dog whisperer, line. When Daddy got it out of the box it went something like this:
Daddy: "What do you think?"
Mommy: "It looks kinda small...I don't think Maddy is going to like it."
Daddy: "Well, let's see what she thinks."
They put it on the floor and I immediately curled up in it (not something I do with every bed)! So Mommy said it's "Maddy Approved :)"

Frisbee!

Besides playing with my foster brother Owen and my cousins Grayce & Danger I can't think of anything else I'd rather do besides play Frisbee. Well maybe cuddling with Mommy...

This is how we do it. First, Daddy chucks the Frisbee as hard as he can and then I race after it and jump into the air and catch it like this:

Then we repeat, until Daddy gets tired of throwing it. Then I go home and cuddle with Mommy like the first picture.

Labor Day Weekend Fun

This labor day weekend was a lot of fun! I spent it showing my new foster brother, Owen, some of my favorite places to go! First up was a park really close to my house where we met Aunt Jamie and she brought my good friend Delaney whom she was dog-sitting for. We had tons of fun running around!

We also took Owen to run the trails behind Grandma and Grandpa's house. Here she met my cousins Grayce and Danger for the first time :)

And last, but not least we went to Abuela's house which is always a blast! We even invited Grayce and Danger over and we all had an awesome time in the back yard!

Mommy and Daddy have decided to go into the world of fostering. And I now have a new foster brother named Owen! He is a beagle with the Burlington County Animal Alliance and is believed to be 3 years old. Not much is known about his background, but we know he is an EXTREMELY sweet dog :) and very well behaved. We picked him up yesterday and at first I was a bit scared 'cause he has a big cone around his head. Mommy and Daddy said he is to keep it on for 1 week so that he can heal (he was neutered and had a cherry eye fixed).
I am warming up to the cone though and I am sharing all my toys with him like a good Puggle. I love that I can get him to chase me all around the house (Mommy and Daddy keep separating us 'cause they say he needs to rest!) and I'm very curious about him.
We hope that Owen can find a home deserving of his sweet face and his good behavior soon!

Mommy and Daddy took me to the dog park on Saturday to play and run after my frisbee. After a few throws I did something they have never seen me do at the doggy park before... I laid down!!!! So, after a bit they decided that I'd had enough of the heat so we left...and Mommy convinced Daddy that I needed a special treat to cool off and we went to Rita's Water-ice. Mommy ordered me my own kid sized, sugar-free, pineapple water-ice! I was so excited! It was so cool and refreshing-but it was just too big for me to finish!

So, remember how I said Mommy has off this week and we are spending some quality girl time together with trips to parks and lots of playing and cuddling?!?! Well, yesterday Mommy baked me homemade biscuits for the first time :) The house smelled so yummy and I couldn't wait till they were done!

First the dough... Then you roll it and cut out bone-shaped biscuits... Then you put them on the cookie tray...
and wait while they cook... Then you let them cool off when they are out of the oven...
Put them in an airtight container and you are all done!
Now for the taste test-
DELICIOUS! mmm...cheese :)

Mommy is off from work this week so we are spending some girl time together! Yesterday we went to Abuela's and had a great time in the back yard. Today we went to my other favorite play area-the Dog Park! And Grandma and Grandpa met us there :) I had tons of fun running and fetching my ball.

Fast Puggle?

The other day I bragged about being fast, well I wasn't always fast. Here is a video of Grayce the Weim training me with a session of sprints when I was younger (make sure you have your volume on).

See Preston, I wasn't always a fast Puggle. And as you can see we are in fact very much alike (I cry too when I can't keep up, to tell them to wait for me!). You just need a good trainer like Grayce :)

Poor Mr. Frog

This weekend I went to PetSmart and got a new toy. I call him Mr. Frog and he was my new favorite toy. With a squeeker in the tummy and ropes for arms and legs it was bound to be a fun one! But I must've played too rough with Mr. Frog tonight, 'cause now he only has 3 limbs left! This is what he looked like when Mommy and Daddy realized what had happened...

Lucky for me and it was a clean break so he didn't have to check into the hospital for surgery with Dr.Mom.

I got this award from my furiend, Maggie Mae the boxer! She is such a cute girl with a wonderful personality-Thanks Maggie Mae :)

Ok, so now I must tell you seven things that you may not have known about me. Here goes:

1. I can wound a new toy withing 5 minutes of getting it (case and point-I actually JUST did it again)
2. I don't like to wear clothes-I usually just stand on the spot frozen and refuse to move for anything-but I'm VERY slowly getting over this
3. I love the water, but I don't don't like to swim-again, VERY slowly trying to get over this...
4. I LOVE to play indoor fetch and could do it for hours on end
5. I let out big puffs through my mouth when I'm agitated to let Mommy and Daddy know
6. I am an incredibly fast Puggle and everybody is always surprised to see it (I give credit to my cousin Grayce for training me since I was 9 weeks old!)
and finally
7. When another dog scares me I run and hind behind my Mommy and Daddy because deep down I'm just a big softie

On December, 7th 2008 I was born. I spent my first couple of months living with my doggie mommy and my brothers and sisters. Then I went to live with another family that had a mean husky that picked on me all the time :( Then on Valentine's Day 2009, I found my mommy and daddy (or they found me). They rescued me from the mean husky and brought me to my forever home.

Here are pics of me when Mommy and Daddy picked me up. It was love at first sight!

Mommy and Daddy took me straight to see Aunt Jamie and Grayce the Wiem. We have been inseparable ever since.

I can't imagine why they ever started calling me "troublemaker", I have always been a perfect angel.

What A Weekend!

This weekend was so much fun! Saturday day I went to Pakim Pond with Mommy, Daddy, Grandma and Grandpa. It's a place with a big lake, lots of trails to walk in and lots of grills and tables to barbecue at. I hadn't been there since I was a puppy and I was very excited to fetch sticks from the lake!

Next up was a long walk through some trails where I led the pack, sniffed everything that could be sniffed and hopped through some bushes. We got a little lost and the walk was longer than we had planned so Daddy carried me for a bit because I got tired. He's the best!
Then we had a barbecue and I enjoyed my very own hot dog and a little hamburger for being such a trooper! On the way home I was exhausted and slept the whole way!

Back home Mommy and Daddy said I had to rest to gear up for my night activity. So I was a good girl and listened and then went to see my cousins at Ironwood :) With the help of Daddy I participated in some night swimming with Grayce and the other doggies that were there!
Then on Sunday we went over to Abuela's house and enjoyed some outside activities along with some yummy food again! I even swam by myself for the very first time (then quickly looked for the way out, but it's a start!) and played lots of frisbee with Daddy! Check me out:

Summer fun @ Abuela's

Sundays in the summers are the best. I get to go to my Abuela's (mommy's mom) house and she has a nice big fenced in yard. Daddy will throw me the Frisbee and I'll do my best to catch it.

Then when I get thirsty, I have the biggest water bowl I have ever seen to drink out of! I can even stand in it if I want.
I'm not completely sure about this whole swimming thing. Mommy and Daddy bought me a life jacket which I'm told is supposed to keep me from sinking, but when they put me in the pool I just paddle as fast as I can to the side so I can get out. I'll leave the swimming for them and stick to my gigantic water bowl.

All this playing makes me tired!

Daddy had been away all week for work and I missed him very much! This Friday (July 30) he came home. I was alert when I heard his car and then super excited when I saw him!

Daddy doesn't call me Trouble Maker for nothing! This morning after Mommy left for work I was waiting for Grandpa to come over (he comes to visit me everyday while Mommy and Daddy are at work so I don't get lonely-and to take me out too I guess) when something caught my eye-it was my flower that I wear on my collar to get fancy (the one in my picture) on the floor...I decided it would be a good toy to pass the time till Grandpa got there...unfortunately I was mistaken! In my attempt to be friendly with the flower I destroyed it...oops! Mommy was not very pleased when she found the remains. I did tell her I was sorry the best way I know how though-with lots of kisses! I was forgiven very fast :)

Mommy took me shopping with Grandma this morning to Pet Smart. I love going there because I get tons of attention and treats just for sitting and looking cute! I got some more of my Blue Buffalo Biscuits-I couldn't stop sniffing the bag they were in-BOL-and some new toys. This is my new favorite...Mr. Fox! Doesn't he look fun!? Mommy thought that this might be a great new toy for me because it doesn't have any stuffing in it for me to rip open and destroy all over the house. I promised that I would treat it well and make it last a long time. I've been doing nothing but carrying it around the whole house squeaking it so that Mommy and Daddy know where I am!

It was so hot and humid today that I was not allowed outside to run around because Mommy and Daddy were afraid that I would overheat. So in the evening, after a long day of laying around and looking sad, Mommy and Daddy decided to take me to the lake! I was so excited when we got in the car and even more excited when I saw my cousins Grayce the Weim and Danger the Greyhound there! It was so much fun to run in the water, chase and be chased and of course chew on some sticks :) Check it out!
